OUR HISTORY & FUTURE
Learn about how & why LBK Center for Healthy Living came about....
The Longboat Key Center for Healthy Living was the brainchild of the Longboat Key Foundation.  As an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization the CFHL decided its first order of business was to provide a much needed medical and wellness center for residents and visitors of Longboat Key. In addition, this center would improve Longboat Key's self-sufficiency as a community and enable residents to remain on Longboat Key as we age.

The LBK Foundation began fundraising in June 2015 and announced in September of that year that Ocean Properties Ltd. and an anonymous private donor would provide the funding to launch the project.

LBK Foundation President, Bob Simmons stated, "We continue to invite private-sector support for the project and our future plans, including a first-class, stand-alone facility where we could expand the medical and wellness offerings."
